Prof. Mnason Tweheyo

Professor Mnason Tweheyo is a distinguished Ugandan academic and researcher specializing in applied ecology, forestry, and natural resource management. He is affiliated with Makerere University in Kampala, Uganda, where he has made significant contributions to both academia and public service. Prof. Tweheyo holds a Bachelor and Master of Science in Forestry from Makerere University. He earned his Ph.D. in Applied Ecology from the Norwegian University of Life Sciences (NLH) in Norway. He has served as a Professor in the Department of Forestry, Biodiversity, and Tourism at Makerere University. From 2011 to 2018, he was the Dean of the School of Forestry, Environmental and Geographical Sciences (SFEGS) within the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences (CAES). During his tenure, he focused on improving student discipline, curriculum development, and fostering a collaborative academic environment.
