Ernest Cook University (ECUREI) is proud to announce a significant milestone in our journey of service. The ECUREI Diagnostic Imaging Centre was recently awarded a Certificate of Appreciation by the Kabaka Foundation, recognizing our consistent commitment to community health and our contributions to past outreach initiatives.

A Commitment to Early Detection and Preventive Care

Our partnership with the Kabaka Foundation has focused on a critical area of public health: Prostate Cancer Awareness and Screening. By participating in regional health camps, ECUREI has provided essential diagnostic services to help men across Uganda identify potential issues early, when treatment is most effective.

The “Tubeere Balamu” Initiative: A Royal Invitation

Following our impactful contributions, we are honored to be invited to the Kabaka Foundation’s upcoming flagship health activity: “Tubeere Balamu” (Let Us Be Healthy).

Organized under the leadership of the Kabaka (King) of Buganda, this foundation is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for all Ugandans. ECUREI will join a specialized cohort of health institutions to provide:

  • Prostate Cancer Screening: High-precision ultrasound and imaging.
  • Health Sensitization: Expert-led talks on preventive measures.
  • Professional Counseling: Guidance for patients and their families.
  • Effective Referrals: Streamlining the path to specialized medical care.

Closing the Healthcare Access Gap

Large-scale outreach is essential for filling gaps in healthcare access. By bringing specialized medical technology into the community, ECUREI supports the national goal of early detection and timely treatment. We remain dedicated to fostering a healthier Uganda through both education and advanced clinical practice.
